Overview
NCH's program consisted of a pool area, an outdoor parking space and a landscaping intervention. It is a hybrid of a structure and a landscaping component/
Location
NCH is located in the Naccache area. It is serving as a contemporary outdoor extension and landscape intervention on an existing house
Perspectives
A combination of steel and concrete for the structural elements merged with a wooden deck created a dialogue of materials that oppose the stones of the existing house.
Concept
NCH's structure was designed in a way that situated the pool at the upper level and allowed for parking below them. A combination of concrete elements extend from the ground and form the pool and its deck above.
Diagrams
Due to the narrow size of the plot and the constraints it created, the cars were placed at the lower level to respect the existing site. The elevation of the pool above the vehicles allowed for a pedestrian passage underneath it.
