Overview

Set in the heart of Achrafieh, The B’s project is a private rooftop terrace extending the apartment to the outside creating an outdoor living space.

Location

Even though the rooftop flies over a very busy context, it acts as a mediator between the bustle of a city and the tranquility of a garden complementing the privacy and the openness in a small terrace.

Perspectives

The intervention, divided the terrace into 3 spaces, the main reception, the deck and the swimming pool that interact with each other in different manners.

Concept

Before the intervention, the existing landscape fragmented the space into irregular spaces leaving several useless corners. And time did not only affect the state of the existing rooftop but it also affected the city around it that grew intensely and blocked most of the view towards the sea leaving only a few small breathers.

Diagrams

The geometry of these spaces is regulated and accentuates what is left of the view while recreating privacy where it was needed by adding greenery. It also gives the users a wide range of flexibility in terms of space and sun management to fit the several usages of the terrace.
