Overview

Set to a brief to adapt the spaces of an existing bungalow designed in the 1970s, and bring in daylight to the privacy of this garden house. Located in Tabarja, a coastal town north of Beirut, the bungalow sits in an open garden with a narrow footprint across two levels.

The ground level was redesigned as a large open space with a sliding glass partition separating the reception from the multi-functional kitchen/ family space. Whilst the basement level, segregated into three large rooms, is unified with a long storage wall stretching across the 12 m extents of the house and fulfilling the family’s storage needs.
