Location

Situated in Faqra within Mount Lebanon at an elevation of 1550m, the site is framed by large rock formations at either side, with a panoramic view overlooking Beirut and the Bay of Jounieh.

Perspectives

Carved through the mountain rock, a narrow entrance passage leads to a grand central atrium housing a series of intimate living spaces and facilities. As visitors progress up every floor, the view acquires captivating dimension and is set as the backdrop to luxurious rooms, each uniquely tailored to match the client’s aspirations for a contemporary mountain lodge experience.

Concept

Set to a brief for a luxury boutique hotel, the design nestles into the mountainside landscape, as it looks out and embraces the infinity of its panoramic view, its façade appearing to hover in the snow.
